Condition Report
Splendid engraving one of the most representative of the brilliant graphic work of Durer. The engraving represents seconds after the decapitation, Salome accepts the head of John the Baptist from the hand of the executioners. The action takes place in the courtyard of Herod’s palace in Jerusalem. The monogram is present in the lower left inside a stone, date in the upper right part.
