In folio, 310x230 mm. Leg. coeva in cartonato marm., titolo in oro su tassello in pelle al dorso; 2cc. 360 pp. 2 cc. b.; Impresa xil. ai 3 Front., e 3 iniz in rame, grande vignetta inc. in r. a p. 295, numerose incisioni in legno  nel testo. il terzo front. è datato 1741. Bell’esemplare.

Rara prima edizione illustrata. importante opera del maggior studioso settecentesco di Vitruvio e di Frontino apprezzata dal Riccardi e dal Flower per l’estrema accuratezza. Il testo è diviso in 3 parti con proprio frontespizio, con testatina e capolettera incise dal Visentini.

In folio, 310x230 mm. Contemporary marbled cardboard, gilt title on label at the spine; 2, 360 pp. 2, b; Device on 3 title pages, and 3 initials in copper, large vignette on p. 295, many wood engravings in the text.Tthe third title page, is dated 1741. Fine specimen.

Rare first illustrated edition. important work of the greatest eighteenth-century scholar of Vitruvius and Frontino appreciated by Riccardi and by Flower for their extreme accuracy. The text is divided into 3 parts with its own title page, with header and drop cap engraved by Visentini.
