Folio. 308x220 mm. Legatura in pergamena floscia, riutilizzo di foglio manoscritto d’epoca. Carte 32 non numerate Segnatura: a-d6, e-f4. Data nel Colophon in fine: “Impressum Venetiis : per Gregorium de Gregorijs, die X februarij 1513”. testo su due colonne, carattere gotico bastardo, Iniziali figurate e istoriate su fondo nero e bianco. 10 illustrazioni a piena pagina impresse in xilografia, compresa la rappresentazione dei quattro temperamenti alla carta ‘a2 recto’, dove compare il titolo in alto. Marginalia di mano coeva. Alcuni piccoli buchetti di tarlo ai margini, traccia di gora nei margini a partire dalla carta ‘b5’, esemplare genuino con buoni margini. 

Rara edizione ampliata. Importantissimo trattato di medicina, il primo con figure realistiche, in particolare illustrazioni anatomiche. Esemplare con interessanti marginalia antiche a commento del testo. Choulant-Frank: “Johannes de Ketham" has been identified as the 15th-century Viennese physician and professor of medicine Johann von Kircheim, who probably compiled and edited the texts for his lectures. The 1491 first edition contained the earliest anatomical illustrations. "All the different editions of this work are of great importance because of the woodcuts they contain. The latter are in the peculiar manner of upper Italy, and especially that of Mantegna, but are of different values and are not the same in the various editions”
Ultima edizione stampata da Gregorius de Gregoriis, che pubblicò il Fasciculus sette volte dall'edizione Princeps del 1491 a questa. È simile alle edizioni precedenti, con xilografie copiate dall'edizione originale del 1491 e soprattutto da quella del 1493, con l'aggiunta di quattro nuove tavole. Le xilografie furono attribuite ad un artista della scuola di Gentile Bellini, talvolta all'illustratore del Sogno di Polifilo, talvolta a Mantegna o allo stesso Gentile Bellini. Il Fasciculus è una raccolta di trattati circolanti a partire dal XIII secolo e arricchita dall'Anatomia di Mondino, pubblicata per la prima volta a Pavia nel 1478. Contiene inoltre: Consilium pro peste evitanda di Pietro da Tossignano, e: De egritudinibus puerorum et earum cura qui appellatur practica puerorum di Abu Bakr Razi.
Le grandi tavole illustrano: a1r un conferenziere; a1v un uroscopista; a3v un manichino per il salasso; a6v un manichino zodiacale; b1r una donna seduta parzialmente sezionata; b5r la figura di un uomo che nota tutte le malattie; c2r una figura che mostra la circolazione del sangue; c4v figura di uomo a letto infetto da peste assistito da infermieri e medici; d2v una lezione con dissezione.

Folio. 308x220 mm. Limp vellum, reuse of contemporary manuscript sheet. 32 unnumbered leaves. Collation: a-d6, e-f4. Date in the Colophon at the end: “Impressum Venetiis : per Gregorium de Gregorijs, die X februarij 1513”. Text in two columns, bastard gothic type, illustrated and historiated Initials on a black and white background. 10 full-page illustrations printed in woodcut, including the representation of the four temperaments on leaf 'a2 recto', where the title appears at the top. Marginalia by a contemporary hand. Some small woodworm holes on margins of the first leaves, traces of waterstain in the margins starting from leaf 'b5', unsophisticated copy with good margins.

Rare expanded edition. Very important medical treatise, the first with realistic figures, in particular anatomical illustrations. Copy with interesting ancient marginalia commenting on the text. Last edition printed by Gregorius de Gregoriis, who published the Fasciculus seven times from the princeps edition in 1491 to this one. It is similar to the previous editions, featuring woodcuts copied from the original edition (1491) and especially from the 1493 edition, with the addition of four new plates. The woodcuts were attributed to an artist of the Gentile Bellini School, sometimes to the illustrator of The Dream of Poliphilo, sometimes to Mantegna or to Gentile Bellini himself. The Fasciculus is a collection of treatises circulating since the 13th century and augmented by Mondino's Anathomia, first published in Pavia in 1478.
It also contains: Consilium pro peste Evitanda by Pietro da Tossignano, and: De egritudinibus puerorum et earum cura qui appellatur practica puerorum of Abu Bakr Razi.
The large plates illustrate: a1r a lecturer; a1v a Uroscopist; a3v a bloodletting manikin; a6v a zodiacal manikin; b1r a woman sitting partly dissected; b5r a figure of a man noting all diseases; c2r a figure showing circulation; c4v a figure of a man in bed infected with plague attended by nurses and doctors; d2v a lecture demonstrating dissection.
