Manoscritto su pergamena. Due fogli uniti insieme, rispettivamente di 300x580 mm e 150x55 mm. Legati da un cordoncino con un sigillo di cera marrone. Bella scrittura gotica bastarda. La data compare alla fine di entrambi i testi. Tracce d’uso.

Concessione a Jehan de Pierrefitte, ‘Trésorier de France en la Généralité d’Auvergne’, di risiedere nel Palazzo di Riom: «pour en jouir et y demeurer en bon père de famille». Questo antico palazzo dei Duchi d'Auvergne tornò alla Corona nel 1527 e fu messo a disposizione delle diverse giurisdizioni reali nel 1542, all'epoca della creazione della Generalità d'Auvergne. 
Antoine-Arnaud de Pardaillan, ‘Seigneur de Gondrin, Marquis d'Antin & de Montespan, Chevalier des Ordres du Roi, Conseiller au Conseil Privé’, apparteneva alla famiglia nobili Arnaud, originaria dell’Alvergnia: un ramo della famiglia si era stabilito a Riom.
Il ‘Conseil privè du Roy’, insediato con regolamento nel 1557, agiva da corte suprema, pronunciando giudizi sulle varie corti sovrane del regno (tra cui il parlamento ed il Grand Conseil), e dava giudizi finali di revisione ed interpretazione della legge, giudicando le dispute degli uffici reali, i benefici della chiesa e i problemi tra cattolici e protestanti. Il ‘Conseil privé’, pertanto, fu il predecessore dell'attuale Conseil d'État.

Condition Report

Parchement manuscript. Two sheets bound togheter, measures 300x580 mm and 150x55 mm. Bound by a cord with a brown sealing wax. Nice bastarda gothic writing. The date bears at the end of both textes. Traces of wear.

Grant to Jehan de Pierrefitte, 'Trésorier de France en la Généralité d'Auvergne', to reside in the Palace of Riom: «pour en jouir et y demeurer en bon père de famille». This ancient palace of the Dukes of Auvergne returned to the Crown in 1527 and was made available to the various royal jurisdictions in 1542, at the time of the creation of the Generality of Auvergne.
Antoine-Arnaud de Pardaillan, 'Seigneur de Gondrin, Marquis d'Antin & de Montespan, Chevalier des Ordres du Roi, Conseiller au Conseil Privé', belonged to the noble Arnaud family, originally from Auvergne: a branch of the family had settled in Riom.
The 'Conseil privè du Roy', established by regulation in 1557, acted as a supreme court, pronouncing judgments on the various sovereign courts of the kingdom (including parliament and the Grand Conseil), and gave final judgments on the revision and interpretation of the law, judging the disputes of royal offices, the benefits of the church and the problems between Catholics and Protestants. The 'Conseil privé', therefore, was the predecessor of the current Conseil d'État.
