Bifolio in 4to piccolo. 229x184 mm. Pagine 4, lettera su 3 pagine, indirizzo nella pagina 4. Testo in francese, scrittura in corsivo, inchiostro nero. Traccia di sigillo rosso nella quarta pagina. Piccolo strappo nella terza e quarta pagine senza investire il testo.

Importante fonte sulla rivolta di Santo Domingo del 1796, con dettagli di prima mano sugli scontri e notizie sulle difficoltà del commercio e della navigazione. 
 «… Le quartier Morin est au pouvoir des Rebelles. Celui de Port-au-Prince est comme vous savez dans un bien triste état. Nous doutons que vous puissiez trouvez autre chose en ce moment que les payements des Nègres Chasseurs au cas que l’Habitation de Mr Votre Oncle en ait fourni et que vous ayez une License pour la main levée du séquestre…. Le retard du Bâtiment porteur de vos effets est un peu long. Nous nous flattons qu’ils sont actuellement entre vos mains…»

Bifolio in small 4to. 229x184 mm. 4 pages, letter on 3 pages, address on page 4. Text in French, cursive writing, black ink. Trace of a red seal on the fourth page. Small tear on the third and fourth pages without affecting the text.
