Important original typewritten document for the history of Porto Marghera. The Industrial Port Society was established in Venice on 12 June 1917. It was preceded by the creation of the Study Syndicate for electrometallurgical and naval companies in the port of Venice", chaired by Giuseppe Volpi. The main objective of these associations, established not only by private individuals belonging to various industrial and banking groups, was, in addition to that of creating a modern commercial port in the lagoon, also to build a vast industrial area close to this port for attract the greatest number of companies on the initiative of Giuseppe Volpi. In the typewritten document, which explains the origin and aims of the 'Society', the Industrial Association of Marghera is mentioned, established in the first months of 1925, which will allow the creation of a favorable environment for industrial activities.
