Convention Nationale. Decret … du Ier Juillet 1793, l’an second de la Republique Francaise, une & indivisible, qui excepte des dispositions du Decret du 9 mai 1793, les Batimens des Etats-unis de l’Amerique.

Importante documento sui rapporti fra la Francia rivoluzionaria e gli Stati Uniti. Il precedente decreto del 9 maggio aveva proibito ogni genere di commercio con gli Stati in guerra contro la Francia. Con questo decreto, “voulant maintenir l’union etablie entre la Republique Francaise & les Etats-unis de l’Amerique”,  si sancisce che il divieto non riguarda gli Stati Uniti.

Important document on the relations between revolutionary France and the United States. The previous decree of May 9th had prohibited any kind of trade with the states at war against France. With this decree, "voulant maintainir l'union etablie entre la Republique Francaise & les Etats-unis de l'Amerique", it is established that the ban does not concern the United States.
