The author transcribes the complaints of the Grand Vizier of the Ottoman Empire following the victories of Venice and its allies against the Ottoman navy, during the Cretan War, which lasted from 1645 to 1669. The Turks had been defeated in the Battle of the Dardanelles, June 1656, and the Venetians had subsequently taken possession of Tenedos on 8 July and Lemnos on 20 August. The date on the title page does not refer to a battle but to the writing of the pamphlet.
One copy only in public libraries worldwide, in the Biblioteca Casanatense in Rome. Another copy, in the British Library (OCLC n. 560154292), is apparently a different issue (Stampata nuovamente) of the same year.
