4to, mm. 205x150. Legatura in mezza pergamena e cartonato. Tagli marmorizzati. Cc. 293. Ex libris al frontespizio, restauri, mancanza al margine inferiore della carta RIIII. Nel complesso buon esemplare.

Prima edizione della traduzione del Dolce. In quest’opera si manifesta lo spirito storiografico del Sabellico divisa in decadi e risalente "ab Urbe condita", secondo il modello liviano, e utilizza alcune più o meno famose cronache senza un apprezzabile rigore critico.
Tra le cronache più interessanti da segnalare il riferimento a Colombo e alle sue ascendenze dinastiche e alle guerre contro i Turchi.

4to, mm. 205x150. Quarter vellum and boards binding. Marbled edges. Leaves 293. Ex libris on title page, restorations, loss on margin on leaf RIIII. Overall good copy.

First edition of Dolce's translation. This work shows the historiographical spirit of Sabellico divided into decades and dating back "ab Urbe condita", according to the Livian model, and uses some more or less famous chronicles without an appreciable critical rigor. Among the most interesting chronicles to point out is the reference to Columbus and his dynastic ancestry and the wars against the Turks.
