Incisione, 272 x 205 mm, su carta vergata con filigrana (cervo in scudo con croce, vicino a Briquet 3338). Grande copia marginata. Poche e leggere tracce di pieghe.

Rara carta di Rodi tratta da un atlante di Lafreri, con navi e mostri marini intorno all'isola finemente incisa con le sue città (tra cui Rodi, Lindos e Camirus), foreste e montagne. Nel cartiglio, una menzione dell'assedio di Rodi (1522) durante il quale gli Ottomani cacciarono i Cavalieri di Rodi.

Engraving, 272 x 205 mm, on laid paper with watermark (deer in shield with cross, close to Briquet 3338). Large margined copy. Few slight traces of creases.

Rare map of Rhodes from a Lafreri atlas, with ships and sea monsters around the finely engraved island with its towns (o.a. Rhodes, Lindos and Camirus), forests and mountains. In the cartouche, a mention of the Siege of Rhodes (1522) during which the Ottomans expelled the Knights of Rhodes.
