Rara edizione con il verbale della Sessione della Convenzione Nazionale del 23 maggio 1794. Barère riferisce sull'attentato a Collot d'Herbois, compiuto da Henri Ladmiral, ex impiegato della lotteria nazionale. Quest'ultimo, con l'obiettivo di liberare la Francia “dai suoi tiranni”, aveva sparato tre colpi di pistola contro il deputato della Convenzione e un membro del Comitato di Pubblica Sicurezza. Collot ne uscì illeso da questo attacco. Durante il processo, Ladmiral affermò di aver pianificato di uccidere anche Robespierre. Per i Montagnardi questo tentativo era il segno di un vasto complotto destinato a rovesciare la Repubblica. 52 persone, estranee a questa “cospirazione”, furono portate davanti al Tribunale Rivoluzionario e condannate a morte, tra cui de Rohan, de Montmorency, de Sartine fils, Madame d’Eprémesnil ecc.

Rare edition with the minutes of the Session of the National Convention of 23 May 1794. Barère reports on the attack on Collot d'Herbois, carried out by Henri Ladmiral, former employee of the national lottery. The latter, with the aim of freeing France "from its tyrants", had fired three pistol shots at the deputy of the Convention and a member of the Committee of Public Safety. Collot emerged unharmed from this attack. During his trial, Ladmiral claimed that he had also planned to kill Robespierre. For the Montagnards this attempt was the sign of a vast plot destined to overthrow the Republic. 52 people, unrelated to this "conspiracy", were brought before the Revolutionary Tribunal and sentenced to death, including de Rohan, de Montmorency, de Sartine fils, Madame d'Eprémesnil etc.
