2 volumi in-12mo. Legatura coeva in pelle marezzata, titolo, numero del tomo e fregi in oro sul dorso a 5 nervi, tagli marmorizzati. Pagine [8], 436, [2]; [4], 324, [1]. Marca tipografica sui due Frontespizi, 2 Testatine, 2 Iniziali ornate, numerose xilografie nel testo. 38 tavole, 17 delle quali su doppia pagina o ripiegate, 2 Carte geografiche, tutto inciso in rame. Tracce d’uso, buon esemplare.

Prima edizione figurata, in seconda tiratura. Opera completa sulla storia del regno del Siam. Wyatt: “Universally regarded as the finest work on seventeenth-century Thailand”. Le tavole sono incise da Franz Ertinger, raffigurano alfabeti siamesi, piante, figure in costume, fauna, flora, utensili, strumenti musicali. Oltre a presentare informazioni sul Siam, Loubčre incorpora anche informazioni su India e Cina e la loro influenza sul passato del Siam.

2 volumes in-12mo. Contemporary marbled calf binding, gilt title and number of tome on the spine with 5 raised bands, marbled edges. Pages [8], 436, [2]; [4], 324, [1]. Printer's device on the two Titlepages, 2 headpieces, 2 decorated Initials, numerous woodcuts in the text. 38 plates, 17 of which on double pages or folded, 2 geographical maps, all engraved in copper. Signs of wear, good copy.

First illustrated edition, second issue. Complete work on the history of the kingdom of Siam. Wyatt: “Universally regarded as the finest work on seventeenth-century Thailand”. The plates are engraved by Franz Ertinger, depicting Siamese alphabets, plants, figures in costume, fauna, flora, tools, musical instruments. Besides presenting information on Siam itself, Loubčre also incorporates information on India and China and their influence on Siam's past.
