Venezia, Pelegrinus de Pasqualibus Bononiensis, 11 febbraio 1493

In 4to, 220x150 mm. Legatura tarda su assicella, in mezza pelle con 4 nervi, fermaglio di chiusura in ottone. Carte (10), 241 [i.e. 248], errori di numerazione: Manca una carta bianca alla fine. Al verso dell’ultimo foglio bella impresa tipografica su fondo nero con le iniziali dello stampatore e Colophon “Impressum Venetijs : per Pelegrinum de Pasqualibus Bononiensem, 1493. die vero. xj. Februarij”. Caratteri gotici e romani, testo su due colonne. In apertura di testo, dopo gli indici, titolo in caratteri rossi. Note coeve di appartenenza al frontespizio e al primo foglio di guardia. Ottimo esemplare salvo una leggera slabbratura nella parte inferiore del frontespizio. 

Raro Incunabolo Veneziano. Edizione nitidamente impressa dal bolognese Pellegrino De Pasquali, che comprende oltre ai “Sermones de Sanctis” anche altri trattati. I primi 10 fogli numerati contengono, oltre alla citata avvertenza, la tavola degli argomenti e il testo inizia al f. 1. Il nome dell'autore, Franciscus de Mayronis, figura nell'incipit della Tabula a carta p2.

Condition Report

4to, 220x150 mm. Quarter leather binding on wooden axis. Leaves (10), 241 [i.e. 248], numbering errors: without the final blank. On the back of the last sheet beautiful printer’s mark on a black background with Colophon "Impressum Venetijs: per Pelegrinum de Pasqualibus Bononiensem, 1493. die vero. xj. Februarij ". Gothic and Roman Type, text on two columns. At the beginning of the text, after the indexes, title in red type. Contemporary notes of belonging to the title page and to the front end paper. Good copy, except for a slight flaking in the lower part of the title page.

Rare Venetian Incunabulum. Edition very well printed by the Bolognese Pellegrino De Pasquali, which includes other treatises in addition to the “Sermones de Sanctis”. The first 10 numbered sheets contain, in addition to the aforementioned warning, the table of topics and the text begins at f. 1. The author's name, Franciscus de Mayronis, appears in the incipit of the Tabula on leaf p2.
