Lot of 16 documents on the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
 
Lotto di 16 documenti sulla traversata dell’oceano Atlantico.
1) - Dépliant pubblicitario dei Piroscafi "Ile de France” e "Liberté", “Ligne Le Havre – New York. 
Francia 1950- 1958

Pieghevole a colori con testo e fotografie, Aperto 695x495 mm. Buono stato di conservazione. 
Questi due lussuosi piroscafi, al servizio della Compagnie générale transatlantique, coprirono in tandem la linea Le Havre – New-York, negli anni 50’ del XX secolo.
Île-de-France, costruito nel 1927, restň in servizio fino al 1958.
Il prestigioso piroscafo “Europa” fu rimesso a nuovo dopo la seconda guerra mondiale e ribattezzato “Liberté”. Coprě la linea Le Havre – New-York a partire dal 1950. Dopo l’ultimo viaggio nel 1961, fu demolito nel giugno 1962.

1 foglio. 250x175 mm. Foglio a stampa con note manoscritte a matita, marca da bollo annullata. Viaggio da Le Havre a New-York sul piroscafo ‘Lorraine”, il piů grande piroscafo francese dell’epoca, in funzione fino al 1922. A matita la data “2 Octobre 1920’. 

3) - Carta intestata Hotel Piccadilly, New York. 1 foglio in 8vo.

4) - 3 lettere con busta affrancata, indirizzate in Francia, da Chamois (1976), Harrington (1877), Cambridge (1949).

5) - 3 buste viaggiate:
- da Franklin, nello Stato del Tennessee (1933);
- da Palm Beach, nello stato della Florida (1935). Una nota manoscritta a matita indica nel il celebre pianista Irakli Orbeliani, Presidente dal 1935 al 1941 della Georgian Association degli USA.;
- da Paris (1935), indirizzata a “Cie Gle Transatlantique French Line” a New yor.

6) - 3 Carte Postali Viaggiate, Indirizzate In Francia.

[1903]. Testo in francese.
Cartolina postale con illustrazione a colori che raffigura la nave passeggeri transatlantica americana varata il 12 novembre 1894: entrň in servizio mercantile nel 1895, sotto il registro degli Stati Uniti per la International Navigation Co., di New York City con il suo viaggio inaugurale tra New York e Southampton, in Inghilterra. Fu demolita nel 1924 a Genova. Te

7) - 1 Cartolina viaggiata, indirizzata in Francia.
1935-1939
Cartolina con raffigurante la “Normandie” “Le plus gran paquebot du Monde”. Cartolina viaggiata con francobollo celebrativo del piroscafo con il nome in rosso. 
Normandie č un transatlantico della Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, attivo nella rotta Le Havre -New York dal 1935 al 1940. Bloccata a New York per lo scoppio della guerra, la nave fu requisita dagli Stati Uniti nel 1941. Sarŕ poi demolita nel 1946

8) - 1 busta viaggiata senza lettera, indirizzata in Francia.

9) - 1 lettera su carta intestata “Alamar Hotel” di New-York, 1936.
8vo. 230x154 mm. Testo in francese.
Lettera di carattere commerciale, firmata, con data manoscritta “16 Juillet 1936”.

10) - 1 Opuscolo pubblicitario della Seaboard National Bank.
Los Angeles, 1922-1926
4to. 275x215 mm. Bifolio su carta verde chiaro. Nel margine superiore il logo della banca con un piroscafo in navigazione. Nell’ultima pagina i nomi dei dirigenti a cominciare dal vice president, general manager Kauffman Lowell Carver, che ricoprě questa carica negli anni 1922-1926.

11) - 1 Lettera di F. Chabaud a Jean La Fargue, negoziante di Bordeaux. In francese.
New-York, 25 Mai 1794
4to. 235x186 mm. Bifolio. Lettera su due pagine, indirizzo del destinatario nella pagina 4. 
Lettera di carattere commerciale. F. Chabaud si presenta come amico del ‘cittadino’ Pinaguy un socio di Lafargue che viveva a Santo Domingo. Jean Lafargue commerciava con l’America e possedeva anche una nave “l’Eglantine”.

1) - Advertising brochure of the steamers "Ile de France" and "Liberté", “Ligne Le Havre – New York
France 1950-1958
Color leaflet with text and photographs, Open 695x495 mm. Good state of conservation.
These two luxurious steamers, in the service of the Compagnie générale transatlantique, covered the Le Havre – New-York line in tandem in the 1950s.
Île-de-France, built in 1927, remained in service until 1958.
The prestigious steamer "Europa" was refurbished after the Second World War and renamed "Liberté". She covered the Le Havre – New-York line starting in 1950. After her last voyage in 1961, she was scrapped in June 1962.

2) - Transport contract by sea, from Le Havre to New York

1 sheet. 250x175mm. Printed sheet with handwritten notes in pencil, canceled revenue stamp. Journey from Le Havre to New-York on the steamer 'Lorraine', the largest French steamer of the time, in operation until 1922. The date '2 October 1920' in pencil.

3) - Letterhead Hotel Piccadilly, New York. 1 sheet in 8vo.

4) - 3 letters with stamped envelope, addressed to France, from Chamois (1976), Harrington (1877), Cambridge (1949).

5) - 3 circulated envelopes:

Postcard with color illustration depicting the American transatlantic passenger liner launched November 12, 1894: entered merchant service 1895, under the United States Register for International Navigation Co., of New York City with her maiden voyage between New York and Southampton, England. She was scrapped in 1924 in Genoa. You

Postcard depicting the "Normandie" "Le plus gran paquebot du Monde". Postcard circulated with a commemorative stamp of the steamer with the name in red.
Normandie is a liner of the Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, active on the Le Havre - New York route from 1935 to 1940. Blockaded in New York for the outbreak of war, the ship was requisitioned by the United States in 1941. She will then be scrapped in 1946

10) - Seaboard National Bank advertising brochure
Los Angeles, 1922-1926
4to. 275x215mm. Bifolio on light green paper. In the upper margin the logo of the bank with a sailing steamer. On the last page the names of the executives starting with the vice president, general manager Kauffman Lowell Carver, who held this position in the years 1922-1926.

11) - 1 Letter from F. Chabaud to Jean La Fargue, shopkeeper in Bordeaux. In French.
New York, May 25, 1794
4to. 235x186mm. Bifolio. Two-page letter, recipient address on page 4.
Business letter. F. Chabaud introduces himself as a friend of the 'citizen' Pinaguy, an associate of Lafargue who lived in Santo Domingo. Jean Lafargue traded with America and also owned a ship "l'Eglantine".
