In Folio grande; mm. 485x380; Bella legatura inglese d'amatore firmata Baker and Son, Clifton in piena pelle con fregi, bordure e filetti in nero ai piatti; al centro del piatto superiore campeggia un triplo monogramma CSI intrecciato policromo nocciola, rosso e blu; tagli dorati, dorso a cinque nervi con fregi in nero agli scomparti. Qualche lieve abrasione e traccia del tempo alla legatura ma in genere perfettamente conservato. Ottimo esemplare di un classico album di viaggio di fine Ottocento.

150 fotografie complessive di vario formato (dalle piccole mm 8x10 alle grandi a pieno foglio), 46 sulla Svizzera, di cui 19 di Chamonix e monte Bianco, 2 del lago Maggiore, 12 di Verona, 54 di Venezia (22 piccole con costumi locali), 32 di opere d'arte prevalentemente venete, 2 di Rouen e 2 di Malta. 

Condition Report

Large Folio; mm. 485x380; fine English threequarter leather binding signed Baker and Son with black rules, frame and decorations on covers; in the center of front cover CSI polychrome braided monogram; gilt edges, spine with 5 nervs with black rules on sections. Slight scraping and traces of wear on binding but perfectly preserved. Very nice copy of this travel album of the end of 19th century.

150 total photographs of various sizes (from small 8x10 mm to large full-sheet), 46 on Switzerland, including 19 of Chamonix and Mont Blanc, 2 of Lake Maggiore, 12 of Verona, 54 of Venice (22 small ones with local costumes), 32 of mainly Venetian works of art, 2 of Rouen, and 2 of Malta.
