Prima edizione. Si tratta del Volume V, n°19 e 20 della famosa rivista modernista. La sovraccoperta è una composizione originale di Picasso. Questo diciannovesimo e ventesimo numero della leggendaria rivista artistica di Teriade "Verve" è una monografia dedicata esclusivamente all'opera di Pablo Picasso. Realizzato sotto la direzione di Teriade, presenta copertine fronte e retro appositamente disegnate dall'artista per il progetto con i maestri tipografi Draeger Freres che creano le immagini in heliogravure, allora all'avanguardia, in bianco e nero e tavole a colori con punta. Sono inclusi testi di Picasso e Jaime Sabartes, nonché riproduzioni di dipinti, disegni, quaderni di schizzi, lettere e altro ancora.

First edition. This is Volume V, n° 19 and 20 of the famous modernist magazine. The dust jacket is an original composition by Picasso. This combined nineteenth and twentieth number of Teriade's legendary artistic review "Verve" is a monograph devoted exclusively to the work of Pablo Picasso. Realized under the direction of Teriade, it features front and back covers specially designed by the artist for the project with the master printers Draeger Freres creating the then-state of the art heliogravure illustrations in black and white and colored plates. Included are texts by both Picasso and Jaime Sabartes as well as reproductions of paintings, drawings, sketchbooks, letters, and more.
