Philibert-Louis Debucourt (1755 – 1832) was a French painter and engraver. His works mostly depict Parisian everyday life, especially that of the bourgeoisie.

A rare plate engraved with the “stipple” technique, that is, with the use of a screen that produces a pointillistic effect.
It shows a group of gypsies gathered with their animals in a landscape. A woman in the centre lifts a child onto a donkey's basket, while a man holds an apple to attract the child.
