Le Jeu du Nain Jaune.

Metz, Gangel et Didion, 1861 ca.


Litografia in coloritura coeva. 366 x 594 mm., con margini. Bell’esemplare.


Rarissimo foglio volante. Il gioco è impresso su una sola facciata di due pagine: a sinistra la “Règle” stampata in nero con il testo entro una cornice ornata, a destra la tavola a colori incisa entro doppia cornice lineare nera. La brillante coloritura è del tipo “au pochoir”; in basso compare la scritta dell’editore “fabrique d’images de Gangel et P. Didion, à Metz”. Il nome di Paulin Didion litografo di Metz apparve fra gli associati dell’ “Imagerie Gangel” a partire dal 1860 sotto la ragione sociale: “Gangel frères et P.Didion”. Nel 1861 , il nome cambia e diviene Gangel et Didion, fino al 1868.

Very rare flying sheet. The game is imprinted on a single facade of two pages: on the left the "Règle" printed in black with the text within an ornate frame, on the right the color table engraved within a double black linear frame. The bright coloring is of the "au pochoir" type; below is the writing of the publisher "fabrique d’images de Gangel et P. Didion, à Metz". The name of Paulin Didion lithographer from Metz appeared among the associates of the "Imagerie Gangel" from 1860 under the company name: "Gangel frères et P.Didion". In 1861, the name changes and becomes Gangel et Didion, until 1868.
