Incisione all’acquaforte con coloritura coeva. 510 x 720 mm., margini. Piccola mancanza in alto a destra, per il resto buona conservazione.


Rarissimo foglio volante. Si tratta di una variante del gioco dell’oca con 53 case: fu creato dal professore di storia e geografia Le Maître per l’educazione dei giovani, e fu inciso e pubblicato da Jean-Baptiste Crépy, artista parigino. La stampa è corredata da figure e ornamenti acquerellati: il titolo è nel riquadro centrale, con indicazione dell’autore e con le regole; sotto il titolo la scritta “A Paris chez Crépy…”La data è fornita da D’Allemagne. Un solo esemplare nella Waddesdon The Rothschild Collection, n. di catalogo 2669.1.23.

Etching in contemporary coloring. 510 x 720 mm .; margins. Lacking at the top right, some restoration. For the rest, good conservation.


Very rare flying sheet. It is a variant of the goose game with 53 houses: it was created by the professor of history and geography Le Maître for the education of young people, and was engraved and published by Parisian artist Jean-Baptiste Crépy. The print is accompanied by watercolor figures and ornaments: the title is in the central box, with indication of the author and the rules; under the title the writing "A Paris chez Crépy ..." The date is provided by D’Allemagne.
