Projet de loi portant ouverture, au Ministere de la Marine et des Colonies, sur l’exercice 1885, d’un credit extraordinaire de 204.090 francs pour le cable telegraphique sousmarin du Tonkin.

Uno dei primi cavi telegrafici sottomarini in Asia. La legge propone di aggiornare il credito per finanziare la posa del cavo sottomarino nel Tonchino. La previsione di spesa era stata, nel 1885 di 615.000 Franchi : devono essere aggiunti 204.090 franchi per pagare l’impresa che svolge i lavori.  
Presentata da J. Grevy, Presidente della Repubblica, e Sadi Carnot, all’epoca Ministroo delle Finanze. 
Sadi Marie François Carnot, 1837 – 1894, fu deputato dal febbraio 1871 al dicembre 1887, poi Presidente della Repubblica dal 3 dicembre 1887 al 25 giugno 1894.

One of the first submarine telegraph cables in Asia. The law proposes to update the credit to finance the laying of the submarine cable in Tonkin. The estimated cost in 1885 was 615,000 francs: 204,090 francs must be added to pay the company carrying out the work.
Presented by J. Grevy, President of the Republic, and Sadi Carnot, Minister of Finance at the time.
Sadi Marie François Carnot, 1837 – 1894, was a member of parliament from February 1871 to December 1887, then President of the Republic from 3 December 1887 to 25 June 1894.
