2 parti in un volume in 8vo oblungo; 182x215 mm. Legatura in mezza pelle e cartonato marmorizzato. Titolo e fregi impressi al dorso. Tagli e sguardie marmorizzate. Volume di testo: Pp. XI, 225, [1]; Volume di tavole: 161 tavole (è inclusa anche la tavola 22 bis). Testo su due colonne. Leggere macchiette e arrossatura, ma buon esemplare.

Edizione rivista, aumentata e considerata la più completa di quest’opera di botanica attribuita a Pierre Boitard il cui nome non compare nel titolo. Le tavole mostrano piante di giardini, parterre, boschetti, labirinti, giardini paesaggistici, borghi, fattorie e tanto altro ancora.
Pierre Boitard (1789 – 1859) è stato un botanico e geologo francese, attivo anche come naturalista ed agronomo.

2 parts in one oblong 8vo volume; 182x215 mm. Quarter leather and marbled cardboard binding. Title and rules stamped on the spine. Marbled edges and insidecovers. Volume of text: pp. XI, 225, [1]; Volume of plates: 161 plates (table 22 bis is also included). Text in two columns. Slight spotting and browning, but good copy.

Revised, enlarged and considered the most complete edition of this botanical work attributed to Pierre Boitard whose name does not appear in the title. The plates show plants of gardens, parterres, groves, labyrinths, landscape gardens, villages, farms and much more.
Pierre Boitard (1789 - 1859) was a French botanist and geologist, also active as a naturalist and agronomist.
